A wireless device, for handling an indication, the wireless device being configured to operate in a wireless communications network, and the wireless device comprising:

• processing circuitry configured to obtain a first indication, the first indication being configured to indicate that the wireless device is to report, to a network node configured to operate in the wireless communications network, a first indicator of a signal to noise ratio in a channel between the wireless device and the network node in inactive state, as part of a procedure to transmit data from the network node to the wireless device while the wireless device is in inactive state.

A network node, for handling an indication, the network node being configured to operate in a wireless communications network, and the network node comprising:

• processing circuitry configured to receive from a wireless device configured to operate in the wireless communications network, a report of a first indicator of a signal to noise ratio in a channel between the network node and the wireless device, in inactive state, as part of a procedure to transmit data from the network node to the wireless device while the wireless device is in inactive state.

A method performed by a wireless device, the method being for handling an indication, the wireless device operating in a wireless communications network, and the method comprising:

• obtaining a first indication, the first indication indicating that the wireless device is to report, to a network node operating in the wireless communications network, a first indicator of a signal to noise ratio in a channel between the wireless device and the network node in inactive state, as part of a procedure to transmit data from the network node to the wireless device while the wireless device is in inactive state.

A method performed by a network node, the method being for handling an indication, the network node operating in a wireless communications network, and the method comprising:

• receiving, from a wireless device operating in the wireless communications network, a report of a first indicator of a signal to noise ratio in a channel between the network node and the wireless device, in inactive state, as part of a procedure to transmit data from the network node to the wireless device while the wireless device is in inactive state.
