Abstract
The present disclosure describes systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for multi-channel software-defined radio (SDR) audio transceivers, multi-user audio systems using the same, and methods of using the same. SDR audio transceivers can comprise an antenna and/or radio transmitter. SDR audio transceivers can be configured for multi-channel audio transmission. The multi-channel audio transmission can include wideband channels or channels allocated across a wideband of spectrum. The multi-channel audio transmission can include narrowband channels or channels allocated to a relatively narrower band of spectrum.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- scanning, by a multi-channel receiver (MCR) and using at least a portion of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) of the MCR, for available spectrum;
- determining one or more of:
- an antenna configuration, a transmission mode, an audio channel allocation, or a number of audio channels to be accommodated by the MCR to improve use of the available spectrum;
- and
- providing configurational information to the FPGA such that the FPGA can cause configuration or reconfiguration of the MCR based on at least one of:
- the antenna configuration, the transmission mode, the audio channel allocation, or the number of audio channels to be accommodated by the MCR.
A multi-channel receiver (MCR) configured to receive audio data from one or more antennas, the MCR comprising:
- one or more processors;
- a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) in operable communication with at least one of the one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the MCR to:
- scan, using at least a portion of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) of the MCR, for available spectrum;
- determine one or more of:
- an antenna configuration, a transmission mode, an audio channel allocation, or a number of audio channels to be accommodated by the MCR to improve use of the available spectrum;
- and
- provide configurational information to the FPGA such that the FPGA can cause configuration or reconfiguration of the MCR based on at least one of:
- the antenna configuration, the transmission mode, the audio channel allocation, or the number of audio channels to be accommodated by the MCR.
A method comprising:
- scanning, by at least a portion of a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) of a multi-channel receiver (MCR), for available spectrum;
- receiving, by the FPGA from at least one or more processors of the MCR, configurational information;
- and
- cause, by the FPGA and based on the configurational information, configuration or reconfiguration of at least one of:
- an antenna configuration of the MCR, a transmission mode of the MCR, an audio channel allocation of the MCR, or a number of audio channels to be accommodated by the MCR.
