Abstract
The system and methods of the present invention use sensor hardware, software, and connectivity, both between sensors and with occupants of the commercial, private, or public building, for building service utilization and capacity optimization and for personal and mass safety. One or more clusters of different sensor types are deployed in an indoor setting and can be used to nurture, protect, and assist occupants of that indoor setting. The human-centric concepts herein are also shown to be applicable to both medical triage and transportation settings.
Claims20
A human-centric smart building system, comprising:
- one or more mobile devices;
- and
- at least one sensor cluster array including a plurality of building-placed sensors, wherein sensor-detected event data is parallel processed using combined computational resources of the plurality of building-placed sensors for transmission of cluster processed sensor-detected event data to one or more computing devices, and wherein one or more computing devices receive the cluster processed sensor-detected event data via multiple data streams from the at least one sensor cluster array to process occupant information and identify an occupant event, with the occupant information including at least occupant location data and occupant status data.
A human-centric smart building monitoring method, comprising:
- providing at least one sensor cluster array including a plurality of building-placed sensors;
- monitoring the plurality of building-placed sensors for sensor-detected event data;
- parallel processing the sensor-detected event data using combined computational resources of the plurality of building-placed sensors for transmission of cluster processed sensor-detected event data;
- receiving the cluster processed sensor-detected event data via multiple data streams from the at least one sensor cluster array to process occupant information at one or more computing devices;
- and
- identifying an occupant event based on the processing of the occupant information, wherein the occupant information includes at least occupant location data and occupant status data.
