Abstract
An image decoding method according to an embodiment of the disclosure includes deriving costs of reference frames of a current frame, constructing a reference frame list based on the costs, deriving motion information of a current block in the current frame, and deriving prediction samples of the current block based on the reference frame list and the motion information, wherein a cost of a reference frame of the current frame is derived based on a temporal distance and a quantization parameter of the reference frame.

An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus, the image decoding method comprising:
- deriving costs of reference frames of a current frame;
- constructing a reference frame list based on the costs;
- deriving motion information of a current block in the current frame;
- and
- deriving prediction samples of the current block based on the reference frame list and the motion information,
- wherein a cost of a reference frame of the current frame is derived based on a temporal distance and a quantization parameter of the reference frame.
An image encoding method performed by an encoding apparatus, the image encoding method comprising:
- deriving costs of reference frames of a current frame;
- constructing a reference frame list based on the costs;
- deriving motion information of a current block in the current frame;
- deriving prediction samples of the current block based on the reference frame list and the motion information;
- and
- encoding image information including reference frame related information of the current frame,
- wherein a cost of a reference frame of the current frame is derived based on a temporal distance and a quantization parameter of the reference frame.
A transmission method for image data, comprising:
- obtaining a bitstream generated by an image encoding method, wherein the image encoding method comprises deriving costs of reference frames of a current frame, constructing a reference frame list based on the costs, deriving motion information of a current block in the current frame, deriving prediction samples of the current block based on the reference frame list and the motion information, and encoding image information including reference frame related information of the current frame;
- and
- transmitting image data including the bitstream,
- wherein a cost of a reference frame of the current frame is derived based on a temporal distance and a quantization parameter of the reference frame.
