Methods and apparatus for terminal function distribution

A method implemented by a wireless transmit-receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:

• establishing a communication session with a network, the communication session providing a single internet protocol (IP) address to one or more applications on the WTRU;
• wherein the communication session comprises a plurality of slice-specific bearers, each slice-specific bearer being associated with a network slice identified by a single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI);
• mapping a first traffic flow, associated with a first function, to a first slice-specific bearer of the plurality of slice-specific bearers, wherein the first slice-specific bearer is associated with a first network slice;
• and
• mapping a second traffic flow, associated with a second function, to a second slice-specific bearer of the plurality of slice-specific bearers, wherein the second slice-specific bearer is associated with a second network slice.
