Congestion handling for holographic communications

A first wireless communication device, comprising:

• one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
• and
• one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the first wireless communication device to:
• transmit a first set of packets of a traffic flow associated with holographic communications;
• receive a feedback message comprising congestion information that is based at least in part on an explicit congestion notification marking of the first set of packets, the feedback message further comprising an identifier of the first wireless communication device, wherein the feedback message is received based at least in part on the identifier;
• and
• modify a data rate associated with the traffic flow in accordance with the congestion information.

An application server, comprising:

• one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
• and
• one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the application server to:
• obtain a first set of packets of a traffic flow associated with holographic communications between a plurality of wireless communication devices, wherein the first set of packets is obtained from a first wireless communication device of the plurality of wireless communication devices;
• output a second set of packets of the traffic flow, the second set of packets corresponding to the first set of packets and output to each wireless communication device of the plurality of wireless communication devices;
• obtain a first feedback message comprising congestion information that is based at least in part on an explicit congestion notification marking of the first set of packets, the first feedback message further comprising one or more respective identifiers of one or more wireless communication devices of the plurality of wireless communication devices;
• and
• output a second feedback message based at least in part on the congestion information and the one or more respective identifiers of the one or more wireless communication devices included in the first feedback message.
