Dynamic telemetry optimization

A method, comprising:

• based on telemetry data comprising data samples received from a group of external devices, identifying, by a device comprising at least one processor, a first cycle period representative of a first rate at which a first external device of the external devices transmits a first data sample of the data samples, and identifying a first sampling interval representative of a first time used to process the first data sample;
• determining, by the device as a function of the first cycle period and the first sampling interval, an equal distribution value indicative of an average quantity of the data samples received per first sampling interval over the first cycle period;
• and
• in response to receiving, from a second external device of the external devices, a second data sample of second data samples configured for transmission in accordance with a second cycle period, performing, by the device, a defined redistribution procedure that instructs the second external device to schedule a next second data sample of the second data samples according to the second cycle period offset by an offset amount that is a multiple of a second sampling interval representative of a second time used to process the second data sample, wherein the offset amount is generated as a function of the equal distribution value.

A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:

• based on telemetry information that comprises data samples obtained from a group of external devices, determining a first cycle period corresponding to a first frequency at which a first external device of the group of external devices sends a first data sample of the data samples, and determining a first sampling interval corresponding to a first amount of time for processing the first data sample;
• determining, based on the first cycle period and the first sampling interval, an equal distribution value representative of an average number of the data samples received per first sampling interval during the first cycle period;
• and
• in response to receiving, from a second external device of the group of external devices, of a second data sample of second data samples arranged to be transmitted according to a second cycle period, performing a redistribution procedure that causes the second external device to schedule a next second data sample of the second data samples according to the second cycle period with an offset amount applied thereto, the offset amount being a multiple of a second sampling interval corresponding to a second amount of time for processing the second data sample and being determined as a function of the equal distribution value.
