Techniques are disclosed for a network management system (NMS) that manages radio and/or antenna power of network devices, such as access points (APs), in a network. In some examples, the network comprises a high-density (HD) mesh network or an ultra-high density (UHD) mesh network. Each of the APs in a network collects metrics of utilization and interference, and uploads the metrics to a cloud orchestrator or NMS. The NMS determines an amount of resources to be used by the network. The NMS provides the metrics of utilization and interference for the APs and the determined amount of resources to an artificial intelligence (AI) model to obtain values of a radio power to be used by each corresponding AP. The NMS configures each of the APs with the corresponding determined value for the radio power, so as to improve performance of the network.
