Abstract

A communication method and apparatus, and a storage medium are disclosed, and relate to the field of communication technologies, to enable a terminal apparatus to start reference signal measurement and/or measurement result sending more quickly, thereby reducing communication interruptions. In this application, the terminal apparatus sends first information by using a first cell. The first information indicates that the terminal apparatus requests to measure a reference signal of a second cell, and/or the terminal apparatus requests to send measurement result information. After triggering reference signal measurement by using the first information, the terminal apparatus may start reference signal measurement.
