Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may generate a multiplexed signal based at least in part on a non-orthogonal multiplexing of a low-power signal and a non-low-power signal, wherein information associated with the non-low-power signal is embedded in a sequence used to modulate the low-power signal. The network node may transmit the multiplexed signal. Numerous other aspects are described.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a network node, comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors individually or collectively configured to:
- generate a multiplexed signal based at least in part on a non-orthogonal multiplexing of an on-off keying (OOK) signal and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal, wherein information associated with the OFDM signal is embedded in a sequence used to modulate the OOK signal;
- and
- transmit the multiplexed signal.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories, the one or more processors individually or collectively configured to:
- receive an on-off keying (OOK) signal and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal,
- wherein the OOK signal and the OFDM signal are multiplexed using a non-orthogonal multiplexing to form a multiplexed signal, and
- wherein information associated with the OFDM signal is embedded in a sequence used to modulate the OOK signal.

A method of wireless communication performed by a network node, comprising:
- generating a multiplexed signal based at least in part on a non-orthogonal multiplexing of an on-off keying (OOK) signal and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal, wherein information associated with the OFDM signal is embedded in a sequence used to modulate the OOK signal;
- and
- transmitting the multiplexed signal.

A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving an on-off keying (OOK) signal and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal, wherein the OOK signal and the OFDM signal are multiplexed using a non-orthogonal multiplexing to form a multiplexed signal, and
- wherein information associated with the OFDM signal is embedded in a sequence used to modulate the OOK signal.
