Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index that associates an MCS to one or more parameters in an MCS table for spinal coding. The one or more parameters may include at least one of a constellation order or a message chunk size. The UE may receive a downlink communication from the network node and decode the downlink communication in accordance with one or more of the constellation order or the message chunk size. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims19
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- a processing system that includes one or more processors and one or more code-storing memories coupled with the one or more processors, the processing system configured to cause the UE to:
- receive, from a network node, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index associating an MCS to one or more parameters in an MCS table for spinal coding, wherein the one or more parameters includes at least one of a constellation order or a message chunk size;
- receive a downlink communication from the network node;
- and
- decode the downlink communication in accordance with one or more of the constellation order or the message chunk size.
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving, from a network node, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index associating an MCS to one or more parameters in an MCS table for spinal coding, wherein the one or more parameters includes at least one of a constellation order or a message chunk size;
- receiving a downlink communication from the network node;
- and
- decoding the downlink communication in accordance with one or more of the constellation order or the message chunk size.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for wireless communication, the set of instructions comprising:
- one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to:
- receive, from a network node, a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index associating an MCS to one or more parameters in an MCS table for spinal coding, wherein the one or more parameters includes at least one of a constellation order or a message chunk size;
- receive a downlink communication from the network node;
- and
- decoding the downlink communication in accordance with one or more of the constellation order or the message chunk size.
