Disclosed are a method by which a device performs communication in a wireless communication system, and a device therefor, according to various embodiments. The method by which a device performs communication in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: setting up a control link for receiving control information from a base station and a forwarding link for forwarding a signal received from a terminal; determining a power amplification gain for the forwarding link; and forwarding the signal received from the terminal to the base station through the forwarding link on the basis of the power amplification gain, wherein the power amplification gain is determined on the basis of power control information established for the control link.
