Motor-driven compressor

A motor-driven compressor, comprising:

• a motor;
• a housing;
• a positioning member made of metal;
• and
• an interposed member made of metal, wherein
• the motor includes a stator and is configured to drive a compression unit,
• the housing includes:
• a tubular first housing forming portion that accommodates the motor;
• and
• a second housing forming portion connected to an open end of the first housing forming portion,
• the first housing forming portion includes a motor fixing surface that surrounds the stator,
• the positioning member includes:
• a main body that extends in a circumferential direction of the motor fixing surface and covers an outer circumferential surface of the stator;
• and
• multiple protrusions protruding from the main body toward the motor fixing surface,
• the main body includes:
• two first end edges facing each other in the circumferential direction;
• and
• a first slit formed between the two first edges,
• the interposed member includes an interposed main body interposed between the first housing forming portion and the positioning member and extending in the circumferential direction,
• the interposed main body includes:
• two second end edges facing each other in the circumferential direction;
• and
• a second slit formed between the two second end edges,
• a positioning recess is formed in an inner peripheral portion of the first housing forming portion by recessing, in an axial direction of the first housing forming portion toward an end opposite to the open end, a partial region, in the circumferential direction, of the inner peripheral portion, and
• the interposed member includes a positioning tab that extends from at least one of the second end edges and is disposed inside the positioning recess.
