Hazardous mechanical energy control system

A hazardous energy control system, comprising:

• a back-end system;
• the back-end system having a memory;
• wherein the back-end system is configured to store in the memory data indicating a set of equipment at a worksite;
• a personal electronic device communicatively connected to the back-end system;
• wherein the personal electronic device is configured to provide a user interface for a user to select a first subset of equipment, from a set of equipment at the worksite, for mechanical energy isolation from hazardous energy sources via lockout/tagout (LOTO);
• wherein in response to receiving a request for LOTO of the first subset of equipment, the back-end system is configured to determine a LOTO procedure for mechanical energy isolation and discharge of the first subset of equipment;
• wherein the determined LOTO procedure includes:
• isolating the first subset of equipment from the hazardous energy sources using a set of energy isolation devices (EIDs) at the worksite;
• and
• discharging mechanical energy from the first subset of equipment using a set of energy discharge devices (EDDs) at the worksite.

A hazardous energy control system, comprising:

• a back-end system;
• the back-end system having a memory;
• wherein the back-end system is configured to store in the memory data indicating a set of equipment at a worksite;
• a personal electronic device communicatively connected to the back-end system;
• wherein the personal electronic device is configured to provide a user interface for a user to select a first subset of equipment, from a set of equipment at the worksite, for isolation from hazardous energy sources via lockout/tagout (LOTO);
• wherein in response to receiving a request for LOTO of the first subset of equipment, the back-end system is configured to determine a LOTO procedure for isolation and discharge of the first subset of equipment.
