Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method for adaptively obtaining a corrected apparent impedance. The method comprises acquiring a current measurement and a voltage measurement in the power grid at the time of a fault, acquiring at least one line impedance parameter, obtaining a fault type, and adaptively obtaining a corrected apparent impedance dependent on the obtained fault type.

A method for adaptively obtaining a corrected apparent impedance, the method comprising:
- acquiring a current measurement and a voltage measurement in the power grid locally at a relay at the time of a fault,
- acquiring at least one line impedance parameter,
- obtaining a fault type,
- adaptively obtaining a corrected apparent impedance dependent on the obtained fault type and dependent on a magnitude of a local zero sequence current (I0) and a magnitude of a local negative sequence current (I2).
