Abstract
The present invention relates to a cavity filter and a communication device. The cavity filter according to an embodiment comprises a chassis (11; 21; 31) that defines a cavity having a top opening, at least one resonator (13; 23A-23D; 33A-33H) disposed in the cavity, and a cover plate (12; 22; 32) that covers the top opening of the cavity, wherein the cover plate (12; 22; 32) is made of a dielectric material, and a bottom surface of the cover plate (12; 22; 32) is provided with a metalized area (121; 221A-221D; 321A-321H) at a region corresponding to the resonator (13; 23A-23D; 33A-33H).

A cavity filter, comprising:
- a chassis that defines a cavity having a top opening;
- at least one resonator disposed in the cavity;
- and
- a cover plate that covers the top opening of the cavity, wherein the cover plate is made of a dielectric material, and a bottom surface of the cover plate is provided with a metalized area at a region corresponding to the resonator.
