Abstract
An electrode assembly having structurally reduced bending is described, which includes a separator bent in a zigzag shape; a negative electrode disposed between first surfaces of the separator; and a positive electrode disposed between second surfaces of the separator. Each of the positive electrode and the negative electrode include an upper surface and a lower surface, where the lower surface has a smaller surface bonding strength to the separator, than the upper surface. The upper surface of the positive electrode is disposed to face the upper surface of the negative electrode with the separator interposed therebetween.
Claims12
An electrode assembly comprising:
- a separator having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the separator being folded in a zigzag pattern;
- at least one negative electrode disposed on the first surface such that the first surface contacts opposite sides of the negative electrode;
- and
- at least one positive electrode disposed on the second surface such that the second surface contacts opposite sides of the positive electrode;
- wherein each of the positive electrode and the negative electrode comprises an upper surface and a lower surface;
- wherein in each of the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the lower surface has a smaller surface bonding strength to the separator than the upper surface, and
- wherein the upper surface of the positive electrode is disposed to face the upper surface of the negative electrode with the separator interposed therebetween.
