Methods and apparatus for managing a hydrogen storage and distribution system

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that cause one or more processors to:

• detect, via hydrogen concentration data, an elevated hydrogen concentration at a hydrogen storage system;
• determine a location of a leak associated with the elevated hydrogen concentration based on a first model data set selected from a plurality of model data sets, the first model data set selected based on a similarity of the first model data set with the hydrogen concentration data, each of the plurality of model data sets associated with a corresponding simulated leak in the hydrogen storage system;
• determine, based on the location of the leak, whether at least one alternative route for hydrogen is present in the hydrogen storage system, the at least one alternative route different from the location of the leak;
• based on a determination that at least one alternative route is present, send a signal to one or more controllable features of the hydrogen storage system to restrict flow of hydrogen through a portion of the hydrogen storage system corresponding to the location of the leak;
• and
• based on a determination that no alternative routes are present, disable the hydrogen storage system.

A method comprising:

• detecting, via hydrogen concentration data, an elevated hydrogen concentration at a hydrogen storage system;
• determining a location of a leak associated with the elevated hydrogen concentration based on a first model data set selected from a plurality of model data sets, the first model data set selected based on a similarity of the first model data set with the hydrogen concentration data, each of the plurality of model data sets associated with a corresponding simulated leak in the hydrogen storage system;
• determining, based on the location of the leak, whether at least one alternative route for hydrogen is present in the hydrogen storage system, the at least one alternative route different from the location of the leak;
• in response to determining that at least one alternative route is present, sending a signal to one or more controllable features of the hydrogen storage system to restrict flow of hydrogen through a portion of the hydrogen storage system corresponding to the location of the leak;
• and
• in response to determining that no alternative routes are present, disabling the hydrogen storage system.
