Abstract
A display device includes a plurality of pixels arranged in row and column directions in which at least one of adjacent rows or adjacent columns are offset relative to each other. The centers of the plurality of pixels are arranged in a sampling geometry corresponding to a hexagonal lattice, such that the distances from a center of a pixel to centers of six nearest neighboring pixels are substantially equal. Each of the plurality of pixels includes a luminous element, a memory, a PWM controller that generates a control signal for controlling a light emission of the luminous element, and a driving circuit that drives the luminous element based on the control signal.
Claims13
A display device comprising:
- a plurality of pixels arranged in row and column directions,
- wherein at least one of adjacent rows or adjacent columns are offset relative to each other,
- wherein centers of the plurality of pixels are arranged in a sampling geometry corresponding to a hexagonal lattice, such that distances from a center of a pixel to centers of six nearest neighboring pixels are substantially equal, and
- wherein each of the plurality of pixels includes:
- a luminous element;
- a memory;
- a PWM controller configured to generate a control signal for controlling a light emission of the luminous element;
- and
- a driving circuit configured to drive the luminous element based on the control signal.
