Abstract
A money storage device includes: a housing including a first storage space; a second storage unit forming a second storage space independent of the first storage space; and an endless transport belt that transports money stored in the first storage space to an exit of the housing. The transport belt revolves in a vertical plane along the inner wall of the housing that surrounds the first storage space. The second storage unit is inside a belt path of the transport belt, and discharges money stored in the second storage space into the housing. The transport belt transports the money discharged from the second storage unit to the exit.
Claims15
A money storage device, comprising:
- a housing comprising a first storage space in which money is stored;
- a second storage unit that is located in the housing and that forms a second storage space independent of the first storage space;
- and
- an endless transport belt that transports the money stored in the first storage space to an exit of the housing, wherein
- the transport belt revolves in a vertical plane along an inner wall of the housing that surrounds the first storage space in the housing,
- the second storage unit is inside a belt path of the transport belt and discharges money stored in the second storage space into the housing, and
- the transport belt transports the money discharged from the second storage unit to the exit.
A money handling method, comprising:
- transporting money stored in a first storage space in a housing of a money storage device to an exit of the housing through a transport belt in the housing, and discharging the money from the housing;
- sending, by a feeding unit, the money discharged from the housing one by one to a recognition unit, and recognizing, by the recognition unit, the money;
- sending a designated number of money of a previously designated one or more of denominations to a second storage space of a second storage unit in the housing, based on a recognition result, to store the money in the second storage unit;
- discharging all the money stored in the second storage unit into the housing under a dispensing instruction, and transporting, by the transport belt, the money to the exit to discharge the money from the housing;
- sending, by the feeding unit, the money discharged from the housing one by one to the recognition unit, and recognizing, by the recognition unit, the money;
- and
- selectively sending money to be dispensed to a dispensing unit, based on a recognition result.
