Abstract
A method for compensating a virtual image displayed by a near eye display based on a source image. The method includes acquiring virtual images displayed by the near eye display for three primary color channels, wherein each of the virtual images is based on a primary color test pattern; obtaining a correction factor matrix comprising luminance and chromaticity components of the three primary color channels; and performing compensation on the source image with the correction factor matrix.

A method for compensating a virtual image displayed by a near eye display based on a source image, comprising:
- acquiring virtual images displayed by the near eye display for three primary color channels, wherein each of the virtual images is based on a primary color test pattern;
- obtaining first chromaticity components for each of the primary color channels;
- determining target chromaticity components for each of the primary color channels based on the first chromaticity components;
- obtaining a correction factor matrix based on the target chromaticity components;
- and
- performing compensation on the source image based on the correction factor matrix.
An apparatus for compensating a virtual image displayed by a near eye display based on a source image, comprising:
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to cause the apparatus to perform operations comprising:
- acquiring virtual images displayed by the near eye display for three primary color channels, wherein each of the virtual images is based on a primary color test pattern;
- obtaining first chromaticity components for each of the primary color channels;
- determining target chromaticity components for each of the primary color channels based on the first chromaticity components;
- obtaining a correction factor matrix based on the target chromaticity components;
- and
- performing compensation on the source image based on the correction factor matrix.
A non-transitory computer readable medium that stores a set of instructions that is executable by one or more processors of an apparatus to cause the apparatus to perform operations comprising:
- acquiring virtual images displayed by a near eye display for three primary color channels, wherein each of the virtual images is based on a primary color test pattern;
- obtaining first chromaticity components for each of the primary color channels;
- determining target chromaticity components for each of the primary color channels based on the first chromaticity components;
- obtaining a correction factor matrix based on the target chromaticity components;
- and
- performing compensation on a source image based on the correction factor matrix.
