Abstract
Systems and methods for mitigating network disruption associated with the reserving of products, events, or services that have limited availability are provided. A product reservation system may be used to announce the availability of limited availability products. Consumers may submit one or more reservation requests for limited availability products being offered. The system may be configured to mitigate network disruptions associated with the receiving and/or processing of the one or more reservation requests.
Claims20
A system for mitigating disruption of online requests, the system comprising:
- one or more request collection components causing a computing device to collect traffic data relating to a plurality of requests received, via a user interface associated with one or more servers, from a plurality of user devices associated with a plurality of users;
- one or more request processing components causing the computing device to determine whether the received plurality of requests correspond to available products;
- a product reservation component causing the computing device to:
- determine, based on the plurality of received requests, one or more users of the plurality of users;
- and
- send a notification to one or more devices associated with the one or more users;
- and
- one or more processors and memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
- respond to a first traffic pattern, identified by the computing device, in the plurality of requests received via the user interface by replicating one or more resource modules associated with the computing device to provide a plurality of resources;
- for mitigating service outages or network congestion;
- and
- receive additional requests using the plurality or resources to mitigate service outages or network congestion associated with the receiving or processing of requests.
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing computer executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus at least to:
- collect traffic data relating to a plurality of requests received, via a user interface associated with one or more servers, from a plurality of user devices associated with a plurality of users;
- respond to a first traffic pattern, identified by the apparatus, in the plurality of requests received via the user interface by replicating one or more resource modules associated with the apparatus to provide a plurality of resources;
- for mitigating service outages or network congestion;
- receive additional requests using the plurality or resources to mitigate service outages or network congestion associated with the receiving or processing of requests;
- determine, based on the plurality of received requests, one or more users of the plurality of users;
- and
- send a notification to one or more devices associated with the one or more users.
A method comprising:
- collecting, by one or more computing devices, traffic data relating to a plurality of requests received, via a user interface associated with one or more servers, from a plurality of user devices associated with a plurality of users;
- responding to a first traffic pattern, identified by the computing device, in the plurality of requests received via the user interface by replicating one or more resource modules associated with the computing device to provide a plurality of resources;
- for mitigating service outages or network congestion;
- receiving additional requests using the plurality or resources to mitigate service outages or network congestion associated with the receiving or processing of requests;
- determining, based on the plurality of received requests, one or more users of the plurality of users;
- and
- sending a notification to one or more devices associated with the one or more users.
