Transmission authorizations in data transmission systems

A system for asynchronously allowing a user of a data transmission system to authorize another user to perform transmissions of a uniform transmission medium (UTM) from a UTM balance of the user, the data transmission system comprising validation units for validating transmissions among users of the data transmission system, the system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
• transmit, to the validation units, an authorization for a first user to trigger UTM transmissions in the data transmission system from a UTM balance of a second user;
• receive, from at least some of the validation units, validation messages indicating that the authorization for the first user to perform UTM transmissions from the UTM balance of the second user is valid, wherein:
• when validation messages are received from at least a threshold number of the validation units, the first user is granted the authorization to trigger UTM transmissions from the UTM balance of the second user.
