Locker bank systems and methods for reading multi-usage individual identifying badges

A method for dispatching a shipment and picking up the shipment by an individual by operating a locker bank system including a remote server and a locker bank comprising a badge reader configured for reading a badge identifier of an identifying badge, a locker bank data storage and at least a locker, wherein the locker bank data storage stores a structured Individuals table comprising a set of associated memories including a name memory configured to store a name of an individual, an individual identifier memory configured to store an individual identifier identifying the individual, and a badge identifier memory to store the badge identifier, wherein the remote server comprises a set of associated server memories including an individual identifier server memory configured to store the individual identifier identifying the individual, the method comprising the following acts for dispatching the shipment in the locker bank:

• capturing a shipment identifier associated with the shipment,
• selecting from the structured Individuals table a name of the individual, and identifying the name memory storing the name of the individual,
• storing the captured shipment identifier in a shipment identifier memory in locker bank data storage and associating the shipment identifier memory with the individual identifier memory associated with the identified name memory,
• opening a locker, in which the shipment is dispatched,
• associating the shipment identifier memory with the opened locker, and
• the method further comprising the following acts for picking up the shipment from the locker bank:
• reading the identifying badge by the badge reader, and capturing the badge identifier,
• identifying the badge identifier memory storing the badge identifier,
• identifying the shipment identifier memory based on the association with the individual identifier memory and based on the individual identifier memory being associated with the badge identifier memory, and
• unlocking the locker based on the association of the locker with shipment identifier memory.
