Graph-based models with audio nodes

A method, comprising:

• receiving, by processing circuitry of an overlay system, a stimulus associated with a first audio action,
• wherein the first audio action is to be executed based on a first audio file of a plurality of audio files,
• wherein an executable graph-based model is stored in a storage element of the overlay system and includes a plurality of audio nodes and a plurality of audio action overlay nodes,
• wherein the plurality of audio nodes represent a plurality of audio configurations of the plurality of audio files, and
• wherein each audio node of the plurality of audio nodes is associated with one or more audio action overlay nodes of the plurality of audio action overlay nodes;
• identifying, by the processing circuitry, based on the stimulus, a first audio node of the plurality of audio nodes that represents a first audio configuration of the first audio file;
• determining, by the processing circuitry, a first audio action overlay node, of the plurality of audio action overlay nodes, associated with the first audio node;
• executing, by the processing circuitry, the first audio action based on the first audio node and the first audio action overlay node to generate a second audio file;
• and
• generating, by the processing circuitry, in response to the stimulus, a second audio node, representing a second audio configuration of the second audio file.
