Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A data management system (DMS) may receive a request to recover attributes associated with directory objects within a directory of a client system to a version of the attributes as of a first time at which a prior backup of the attributes was obtained. The DMS may output, via a user interface, a representation of a merged state of the attributes based on a merge operation. The merged state may be based on a merge between a first state of the attributes at the first time and a live state of the attributes as of a second time at which the merge is performed. The DMS may receive, via the user interface, a request to recover the attributes using the merged state or to maintain the live state of the attributes based on the representation of the merged state.

Dependent claims

An apparatus, comprising:

one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
and
one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the apparatus to:
receive, at a data management system, a first request to recover one or more attributes associated with one or more directory objects within a directory of a client system, wherein the first request indicates the one or more attributes and a first time corresponding to a prior backup of the one or more attributes;
output, via a user interface of the data management system, a representation of a merged state of the one or more attributes, wherein the merged state is based at least in part on a merge between a first state of the one or more attributes as of the first time indicated via the first request and a live state of the one or more attributes as of a second time at which the merge is performed;
and
receive, in response to outputting the representation of the merged state of the one or more attributes and via the user interface of the data management system, a second request that indicates whether the data management system is to recover the one or more attributes in accordance with the merged state.

receiving, at a data management system, a first request to recover one or more attributes associated with one or more directory objects within a directory of a client system, wherein the first request indicates the one or more attributes and a first time corresponding to a prior backup of the one or more attributes;
outputting, via a user interface of the data management system, a representation of a merged state of the one or more attributes, wherein the merged state is based at least in part on a merge between a first state of the one or more attributes as of the first time indicated via the first request and a live state of the one or more attributes as of a second time at which the merge is performed;
and
receiving, in response to outputting the representation of the merged state of the one or more attributes and via the user interface of the data management system, a second request that indicates whether the data management system is to recover the one or more attributes in accordance with the merged state.
