Apparatuses and methods for facilitating practical applications involving an artificial-intelligence-aware computing and data management function as part of communication networks and systems

A non-transitory machine-readable medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising:

• obtaining a trigger;
• based on the obtaining of the trigger, obtaining data;
• processing the data to identify a resource allocation for purposes of computation and storage in conjunction with a provisioning of a communication service, resulting in an identified resource allocation;
• generating a policy based on the identified resource allocation;
• and
• causing the policy to be enforced, the causing resulting in an allocation of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a combination thereof, to a resource of a network.

A method, comprising:

• generating, by a processing system including a processor, a policy pertaining to computation, storage, and energy utilization in a network;
• detecting, by the processing system and in accordance with the policy, an anomaly in a parameter pertaining to a communication service supported by the network relative to a threshold, wherein the detecting is based on an analysis of data using machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a combination thereof;
• and
• adjusting, by the processing system and based on the detecting, a value of the parameter from a first value to a second value that is different from the first value.
