Adjusting computational resources for pods in an orchestration platform

A computer system comprising:

• a processor set;
• a set of one or more computer-readable storage media;
• and
• program instructions stored on the set of one or more storage media to cause the processor set to perform operations comprising:
• creating a number of groups for a number of pods in an orchestration platform, wherein each group from the number of groups comprises a subset of pods from the number of pods;
• assigning computational resources to each group from the number of groups for the number of pods;
• attaching the subset of pods from the number of pods to each group from the number of groups;
• and
• adjusting computational resources for each group from the number of groups based on pod behavior and resource consumption pattern for the subset of pods for each group from the number of groups.

A computer program product comprising:

• a set of one or more computer-readable storage media;
• program instructions stored in the set of one or more computer-readable storage media to perform operations comprising:
• creating, by a processor set, a number of groups for a number of pods in an orchestration platform, wherein each group from the number of groups comprises a subset of pods from the number of pods;
• assigning, by the processor set, computational resources to each group from the number of groups for the number of pods;
• attaching, by the processor set, the subset of pods from the number of pods to each group from the number of groups;
• and
• adjusting, by the processor set, computational resources for each group from the number of groups based on pod behavior and resource consumption pattern for the subset of pods for each group from the number of groups.
