Abstract
Devices and methods for updating display device settings include generating a machine-readable code corresponding to one or more settings of a display device and exporting the machine-readable code to a storage medium. The devices and methods further include initiating import of the machine-readable code to the display device and executing the machine-readable code via control circuitry of the display device to update the settings of the display device.

A method for cloning display settings, the method comprising:
- generating, by a host display device, a plurality of standardized display control codes, wherein each standardized display control code corresponds to a respective display setting and includes a feature value that defines a setpoint of the respective display setting;
- and
- exporting, by the host display device, a digital file containing the plurality of standardized display control codes to a storage medium,
- wherein the digital file is executable by a recipient display device to update a plurality of display settings based on the feature values in the standardized display control codes.

A display device comprising:
- a display;
- a storage medium;
- and
- display control circuitry to:
- determine at least one display setting having a setpoint that has been altered from a default value;
- generate machine-readable code corresponding to the at least one display setting having the setpoint that has been altered from the default value;
- and
- export a digital file containing the machine-readable code to the storage medium,
- wherein the machine-readable code is to cause a recipient display device, upon importing the digital file, to update display settings corresponding to the machine-readable code while leaving other display settings of the recipient display device unchanged.

- a display;
- a storage medium interface;
- and
- display control circuitry to:
- import, from a storage medium via the storage medium interface, a digital file containing a plurality of display control codes, wherein each display control code corresponds to a respective display setting;
- determine which of the plurality of display control codes in the digital file correspond to display settings supported by the display device;
- and
- execute the display control codes determined to correspond to display settings supported by the display device.
