Abstract
A memory device with a programmable read only memory (ROM) block, a volatile memory location, and control logic configured to cause a transfer of update data stored in a portion of the programmable ROM to the volatile memory location, where the update data is received from a source when the memory device is operating in an in-field environment.
Claims20
A memory device comprising:
- a programmable read only memory (ROM) block comprising a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion;
- a volatile memory location;
- and
- control logic coupled to the programmable ROM and the volatile memory location, to perform operations comprising:
- causing a transfer of update data stored in a portion of the programmable ROM to the volatile memory location, wherein the update data is received from a source when the memory device is operating in an in-field environment.
2 more elements
A method comprising:
- identifying update data stored in a portion of a programmable read only memory (ROM) of a memory device operating in an in-field environment;
- and
- causing a transfer of the update data from the programmable ROM to a volatile memory location of the memory device.
A memory device comprising:
- a programmable read only memory (ROM) block comprising a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion;
- a volatile memory location;
- and
- control logic coupled to the programmable ROM and the volatile memory location, to perform operations comprising:
- identifying update data stored in a portion of the programmable ROM of the memory device operating in an in-field environment;
- and
- in response to a power up of the memory device operating in the in-field environment, causing a transfer of the update data from the programmable ROM to the volatile memory location of the memory device.
