Abstract
A third-party user input content item is presented on a user device of a user. Third-party authorization for the third-party user input content item to be combined with other content items is determined. Responsive to determining the third-party authorization, a combination graphical element is automatically presented on the user device. The combination graphical element is user-selectable to invoke a combination function. Responsive to determining a user selection of the combination graphical element, the combination function is invoked, enabling the user to combine the third-party user input content item with another content item to create a combined user input content item.

A method to facilitate combination of content items, the method comprising:
- causing presentation of a third-party content item on a user device of a user;
- causing presentation on the user device of a combination graphical element, the combination graphical element being user-selectable to invoke a combination function;
- based on user selection of the combination graphical element, invoking the combination function and enabling a camera function of a camera of the user device;
- causing concurrent presentation, within a combination interface, of a live camera feed from the camera and the third-party content item;
- causing presentation, within the combination interface, of a set of layout graphical elements, each layout graphical element being user-selectable to apply a different predefined layout template specifying a layout relationship between the third-party content item and camera-captured content;
- based on user selection of a layout graphical element from the set of layout graphical elements, applying a predefined layout template corresponding to the selected layout graphical element to arrange the third-party content item relative to the live camera feed in the combination interface prior to capture;
- based on user capture input while the live camera feed is displayed in the combination interface, capturing a user input content item from the live camera feed;
- and
- generating a combined content item by combining the user input content item with the third-party content item in accordance with the applied predefined layout template.

A computing apparatus comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one memory component storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, configure the computing apparatus to perform operations comprising:
- causing presentation of a third-party content item on a user device of a user;
- causing presentation on the user device of a combination graphical element, the combination graphical element being user-selectable to invoke a combination function;
- based on user selection of the combination graphical element, invoking the combination function and enabling a camera function of a camera of the user device;
- causing concurrent presentation, within a combination interface, of a live camera feed from the camera and the third-party content item;
- causing presentation, within the combination interface, of a set of layout graphical elements, each layout graphical element being user-selectable to apply a different predefined layout template specifying a layout relationship between the third-party content item and camera-captured content;
- based on user selection of a layout graphical element from the set of layout graphical elements, applying a predefined layout template corresponding to the selected layout graphical element to arrange the third-party content item relative to the live camera feed in the combination interface prior to capture;
- based on user capture input while the live camera feed is displayed in the combination interface, capturing a user input content item from the live camera feed;
- and
- generating a combined content item by combining the user input content item with the third-party content item in accordance with the applied predefined layout template.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a computer system, cause the computer system to perform operations comprising:
- causing presentation of a third-party content item on a user device of a user;
- causing presentation on the user device of a combination graphical element, the combination graphical element being user-selectable to invoke a combination function;
- based on user selection of the combination graphical element, invoking the combination function and enabling a camera function of a camera of the user device;
- causing concurrent presentation, within a combination interface, of a live camera feed from the camera and the third-party content item;
- causing presentation, within the combination interface, of a set of layout graphical elements, each layout graphical element being user-selectable to apply a different predefined layout template specifying a layout relationship between the third-party content item and camera-captured content;
- based on user selection of a layout graphical element from the set of layout graphical elements, applying a predefined layout template corresponding to the selected layout graphical element to arrange the third-party content item relative to the live camera feed in the combination interface prior to capture;
- based on user capture input while the live camera feed is displayed in the combination interface, capturing a user input content item from the live camera feed;
- and
- generating a combined content item by combining the user input content item with the third-party content item in accordance with the applied predefined layout template.
