Abstract
Vehicle systems and methods are disclosed. One aspect includes a system comprising one or more processors configured to receive contextual information associated with a driving situation. The system may determine, based on the contextual information, a required state associated with operation of a vehicle, and determine a current state of an occupant of the vehicle. The system may determine whether the current state satisfies the required state, and determine, based on whether the current state satisfies the required state, whether to initiate a conversational interaction with the occupant.

A system comprising one or more processors configured to:
- receive contextual information associated with a driving situation;
- determine, based on the contextual information, a required state associated with operation of a vehicle;
- determine a current state of an occupant of the vehicle;
- determine whether the current state satisfies the required state;
- and
- determine, based on whether the current state satisfies the required state, whether to initiate a conversational interaction with the occupant.
A method comprising:
- receiving contextual information associated with a driving situation;
- determining a required state associated with operation of a vehicle;
- determining a current state of an occupant;
- determining whether the current state satisfies the required state;
- and
- determining, based on whether the current state satisfies the required state, whether to initiate a conversational interaction with the occupant.
