Abstract

A drilling plant includes a plurality of machines, an operator interface with a display device, and a controller which is operatively connected to the plurality of machines and to the operator interface. The controller has a sequence operator which executes a pre-defined sequence of machine actions at the drilling plant. The controller, during the execution of the pre-defined sequence of machine actions, presents, via the display device, an operational condition to be checked by an operator, presents, via the operator interface, an interactive confirmation feature and an interactive rejection feature, waits a pre-determined time period for an input from the operator via the interactive confirmation feature or the interactive rejection feature, and, in an absence of the input from the operator and to the extent permitted, executes a next step of the pre-defined sequence of machine actions after the pre-determined time period.
