Abstract
A printing system notifies a user of a message prompting the user to check a setting value of an amount of charge removal in an operation unit of a charge removal apparatus. In a case where, when printing processing starts, an adjustment value of a charge removal bias differs from the setting value of the amount of charge removal, the notifying notifies the user of the message prompting the user to check the setting value and to check whether to resume the printing processing.
Claims7
A printing system comprising:
- a charge removal apparatus in which a setting value for charge removal processing is changeable;
- at least one memory that stores instructions;
- and
- at least one processor that causes, by executing the instructions stored in the memory, the printing system to:
- obtain an adjustment value of a charge removal bias for the charge removal processing on a sheet for each type of the sheet to be used in printing processing;
- set a setting value of an amount of charge removal in an operation unit of the charge removal apparatus;
- and
- notify a user of a message prompting the user to check the setting value of the amount of charge removal in the operation unit,
- wherein, in a case where, when the printing processing starts, the adjustment value of the charge removal bias differs from the setting value of the amount of charge removal, the notifying notifies the user of the message prompting the user to check the setting value and to check whether to resume the printing processing.
A control method for a printing system including a charge removal apparatus in which a setting value for charge removal processing is changeable, the control method comprising:
- obtaining an adjustment value of a charge removal bias for the charge removal processing of a sheet for each type of the sheet to be used in printing processing;
- setting a setting value of an amount of charge removal in an operation unit of the charge removal apparatus;
- and
- notifying a user of a message prompting the user to check the setting value of the amount of charge removal in the operation unit,
- wherein, in a case where, when the printing processing starts, the adjustment value of the charge removal bias differs from the setting value of the amount of charge removal, the notifying includes notifying the user of a message prompting the user to check the setting value and to check whether to resume the printing processing.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer-executable program for causing a computer to execute a control method for a printing system including a charge removal apparatus in which a setting value for charge removal processing is changeable, the control method comprising:
- obtaining an adjustment value of a charge removal bias for the charge removal processing of a sheet for each type of the sheet to be used in printing processing;
- setting a setting value of an amount of charge removal in an operation unit of the charge removal apparatus;
- and
- notifying a user of a message prompting the user to check the setting value of the amount of charge removal in the operation unit,
- wherein, in a case where, when the printing processing starts, the adjustment value of the charge removal bias differs from the setting value of the amount of charge removal, the notifying includes notifying the user of a message prompting the user to check the setting value and to check whether to resume the printing processing.
