Abstract
An apparatus includes a processor configured to form a pattern for plural tone patches, each of which is for specification of a density in printing on a recording medium and of which densities are successive, such that one tone patch out of the plural tone patches and another tone patch, of which a density is next highest or next lowest to a density of the one tone patch, are not made adjacent to each other and cause the apparatus to print the plural tone patches in the formed pattern.

An apparatus comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- form a pattern for a plurality of tone patches, each of which is for specification of a density in printing on a recording medium and of which densities are successive, such that one tone patch out of the plurality of tone patches and another tone patch, of which a density is next highest or next lowest to a density of the one tone patch, are not made adjacent to each other;
- and
- cause the apparatus to print the plurality of tone patches in the formed pattern.

- means for forming a pattern for a plurality of tone patches, each of which is for specification of a density in printing on a recording medium and of which densities are successive, such that one tone patch out of the plurality of tone patches and another tone patch, of which a density is next highest or next lowest to a density of the one tone patch, are not made adjacent to each other;

- means for causing the apparatus to print the plurality of tone patches in the formed pattern.
