Abstract
An apparatus includes a processor configured to cause the apparatus to print, on a recording medium, a tone patch for specification of density in printing on the recording medium and a guide mark for specification of a position of the tone patch, in which the guide mark is provided with a reference point defined by two straight lines and the guide mark is on an end portion side of the recording medium with respect to the tone patch.

An apparatus comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- cause the apparatus to print, on a recording medium, a tone patch for specification of density in printing on the recording medium and a guide mark for specification of a position of the tone patch,
- wherein the guide mark is provided with a reference point defined by two straight lines, and
- the guide mark is on an end portion side of the recording medium with respect to the tone patch.
