Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• a mover that moves a transfer medium;
• a basic-color image forming section that is an image forming section that forms an image by using toner of one or more colors selected from four colors including yellow, magenta, cyan, and black, the image being transferred to the transfer medium;
• and
• a plurality of additional-color image forming sections, each of which is capable of forming an image by using toner of an additional color other than the four colors, the image being transferred to the transfer medium,
• wherein the plurality of additional-color image forming sections include an upstream additional-color image forming section and a downstream additional-color image forming section located downstream of the upstream additional-color image forming section in a movement direction in which the transfer medium is moved, and
• wherein the downstream additional-color image forming section is capable of using the toner of the additional color having a charge amount greater than a charge amount of the toner of the additional color used in the upstream additional-color image forming section located upstream of the downstream additional-color image forming section.

An image forming apparatus comprising:

• moving means for moving a transfer medium;
• a basic-color image forming section that is an image forming section that forms an image by using toner of one or more colors selected from four colors including yellow, magenta, cyan, and black, the image being transferred to the transfer medium;
• and
• a plurality of additional-color image forming sections, each of which forms an image by using toner of an additional color other than the four colors, the image being transferred to the transfer medium,
• wherein the plurality of additional-color image forming sections include an upstream additional-color image forming section and a downstream additional-color image forming section located downstream of the upstream additional-color image forming section in a movement direction in which the transfer medium is moved, and
• wherein the toner of the additional color used in the downstream additional-color image forming section has a charge amount greater than a charge amount of the toner of the additional color used in the upstream additional-color image forming section.
