A method for handling a security event of a personal device in collaboration with a virtual reality headset, this method including: capturing a security event raised on the personal device and transmitting a security message, related to the security event, to the virtual reality headset; and handling the security message at the virtual reality headset by switching the virtual reality headset to a passthrough mode.

A method of handling a security event of a personal device in collaboration with a virtual reality headset, the method comprising:
- capturing a security event raised on the personal device and transmitting a security message, related to the security event, to the virtual reality headset;
- and
- handling the security message at the virtual reality headset by switching the virtual reality headset to a passthrough mode.
A virtual reality headset comprising an interface configured for receiving a security message from a personal device, and a processor adapted for handling the security message by switching the virtual reality headset to a passthrough mode.
A personal device comprising a processor adapted for capturing a security event and instructing an interface to transmit a security message related to the security event to a virtual reality headset.
