Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure provide for a cable. The cable includes a fiber bundle including a plurality of optical fibers, a first layer in contact with an outer surface of the fiber bundle, a second layer in contact with an outer diameter of the first layer, a polymeric jacket extruded over an outer diameter of the second layer, a strengthening layer disposed about the polymeric jacket, and a metallic tubular disposed about the strengthening layer.

A cable, comprising:
- a fiber bundle comprising a plurality of optical fibers;
- a first layer in contact with an outer surface of the fiber bundle;
- a second layer in contact with an outer diameter of the first layer;
- a polymeric jacket extruded over an outer diameter of the second layer;
- a strengthening layer disposed about the polymeric jacket;
- and
- a metallic tubular disposed about the strengthening layer.
