Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a method for performing ranging through a UWB communication including receiving state information of each of moving nodes occupying channels provided by anchor nodes in a UWB communication area to perform ranging on the anchor nodes, setting priorities of the moving nodes based on the state information, and recovering one of the channels occupied by the moving nodes based on each of the priority.
Claims6
A method of operating an initiator that communicates with one or more anchors provided in a vehicle to perform ranging through Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) communication, the method comprising:
- transmitting, by the initiator, UWB communication data for ranging to the one or more anchors;
- receiving, by the initiator, state information from the one or more anchors, the state information indicating a state of the initiator with respect to each of the one or more anchors;
- determining, by the initiator, whether the state information indicates an ‘In sync’ mode or a ‘Not in sync’ mode with respect to each of the one or more anchors;
- and
- obtaining, by the initiator, a priority for ranging of the initiator based on the state information,
- wherein the ‘In sync’ mode indicates that ranging is performed between the initiator and a first anchor of the one or more anchors,
- wherein the ‘Not in sync’ mode indicates that ranging is not performed between the initiator and a second anchor of the one or more anchors,
- wherein the ‘Not in sync’ mode is determined based on time information, and
- wherein the priority is determined based on a specific priority range.
An initiator that communicates with one or more anchors provided in a vehicle to perform ranging through Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication, the initiator comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- control a transmission of UWB communication data for ranging to one or more anchors;
- receive state information from the one or more anchors, the state information indicating a state of the initiator with respect to each of the one or more anchors;
- determine whether the state information indicates an ‘In sync’ mode or a ‘Not in sync’ mode with respect to each of the one or more anchors;
- and
- obtain a priority for ranging of the initiator based on the state information,
- wherein the ‘In sync’ mode indicates that ranging is performed between the initiator and a first anchor of the one or more anchors,
- wherein the ‘Not in sync’ mode indicates that ranging is not performed between the initiator and a second anchor of the one or more anchors,
- wherein the ‘Not in sync’ mode is determined based on time information, and
- wherein the priority is determined based on a specific priority range.
