In some aspects, a wireless device may comprise a transmitter configured to transmit a first frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) signal and a receiver configured to receive a second FMCW signal associated with self-interference caused by a mutual coupling from the transmitter to the receiver. In some aspects, the wireless device may comprise an adaptive cancellation component configured to modulate a sample of the first FMCW signal based on a frequency offset associated with the mutual coupling from the transmitter to the receiver. The adaptive cancellation component may be configured to generate an estimate of the second FMCW signal based on the modulated sample of the first FMCW signal. The adaptive cancellation component may be configured to cancel the self-interference caused by the mutual coupling from the transmitter to the receiver based on the estimate of the second FMCW signal.
