Abstract

A coil system that can easily perform a fixing operation and can increase a degree of close contact between a coil unit and a subject. The coil system includes a flexible blanket-type coil unit that is wound around a subject when acquiring a magnetic resonance image, and a fixing auxiliary member that is attachable to and detachable from the blanket-type coil unit and that is used for fixing the blanket-type coil unit in a state where the blanket-type coil unit is wound around the subject, in which the blanket-type coil unit is provided with a first fixing member for connection to the fixing auxiliary member, the fixing auxiliary member is provided with a second fixing member for connection to the blanket-type coil unit, and the blanket-type coil unit and the fixing auxiliary member are fixed to each other by fixing the first fixing member and the second fixing member.
