Multiple primary nodes in a wireless battery management system

A method comprising:

• forming a first wireless network with a first plurality of battery modules;
• detecting a fault with a primary network device;
• retrieving network data from a shared memory;
• and
• establishing a second wireless network with a second plurality of battery modules using the network data and in response to detecting the fault.

A device comprising:

• a communication circuit configurable to scan a first wireless network for packets from a primary network device in the first wireless network to a plurality of battery modules in the first wireless network;
• and
• a processing circuit coupled to the communication circuit and configurable to:
• detect a fault with the primary network device in response to detecting no packets from the primary network device;
• retrieve network data from a shared memory;
• and
• cause the communication circuit to establish a second wireless network with the plurality of battery modules using the network data and in response to detecting the fault.
