Method of manufacturing a plurality of analytical test elements

A manufacturing device for manufacturing a plurality of analytical test elements comprising a plurality of core strips and at least a support foil strip, wherein the manufacturing device comprises:

• i. at least one core strip intermediate product supply device configured for supplying at least one core strip intermediate product comprising carrier foil and at least one analytical element attached to the at least one carrier foil, wherein the at least one carrier foil and the at least one attached analytical element are cut such that the plurality of core strips of the plurality of analytical test elements are defined, the plurality of core strips being placed adjacent to each other;
• ii. at least one transfer foil application device configured for applying transfer foils on a front side and on a reverse side of the at least one core strip intermediate product, wherein the transfer foil applied to the front side and the transfer foil applied to the reverse side engage with the plurality of core strips in an alternating fashion, the transfer foil on the front side and the plurality of core strips engaging with the transfer foil on the front side forming a first transfer intermediate product, the transfer foil on the reverse side and the plurality of core strips engaging with the transfer foil on the reverse side forming a second transfer intermediate product;
• iii. at least one separation device configured for separating the first transfer intermediate product and second transfer intermediate product;
• and
• iv. at least one transfer device configured for transferring the plurality of core strips onto at least one support foil, such that the plurality of core strips, on the at least one support foil, are spaced apart from each other by at least one width of one core strip of the plurality of core strips.
