Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide a dry analytical element for total ketone body analysis, which is simple and inexpensive and can be used as a quantitative reagent for total ketone body amount, and a method for measuring total ketone bodies using the dry analytical element for total ketone body analysis. According to the present invention, there is provided a dry analytical element for total ketone body analysis, including, on a support in the following order, at least one water-soluble polymer layer and at least one spreading layer, in which at least one of the water-soluble polymer layer or the spreading layer contains 3-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, a thionicotinamide coenzyme, a reduced nicotinamide coenzyme, and a buffer.
