Abstract
A levelling apparatus for preparing a surface to be levelled includes a levelling member and a measurement apparatus. The measurement apparatus includes a body portion, an engagement member for engaging a surface, the engagement member located at an end of the body portion. The measurement apparatus is operable to measure a first distance between a reference level and a first point of a surface to be levelled, and a second distance between the reference level and a second point of the surface to be levelled, and the an offset between the first distance and the second distance. The levelling member is configured, in use when located on the surface, to reduce or eliminate the offset between the first and second distances.
