Abstract
Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling a cooking appliance. In response to that a knock-on function matching knock information is identified as corresponding to an operation of copying operation information of a heating zone, the apparatus determines a first heating zone whose operation information is to be copied, based on a container detection signal, and determines a second heating zone, based on at least one of the container detection signal and a vibration detection signal, and operates the second heating zone using the copied operation information of the first heating zone.
Claims16
An apparatus for controlling a cooking appliance, the apparatus comprising:
- a vibration sensor configured to detect vibration resulting from at least two times of knocks and provide a vibration detection signal corresponding to the detected vibration to a controller;
- a container detection sensor configured to detect a cooking container and provide a container detection signal to the controller;
- and
- the controller configured to:
- identify a knock-on function matching preset knock information, based on the received vibration detection signal;
- determine a first heating zone whose operation information is to be copied, based on the received container detection signal;
- copy the operation information of the first heating zone;
- and
- operate a second heating zone using the copied operation information of the first heating zone.
A method of controlling a cooking appliance, the method comprising:
- identifying a knock-on function matching preset knock information, based on a vibration detection signal received from a vibration sensor;
- determining a first heating zone whose operation information is to be copied, based on a container detection signal received from a container detection sensor;
- copying the operation information of the first heating zone;
- determining a second heating zone, based on at least one of the container detection signal or the vibration detection signal, wherein the second heating zone is a heating zone to operate using the copied operation information of the first heating zone;
- and
- operating the second heating zone using the copied operation information of the first heating zone.
