Hinge device and foldable container

A hinge device for a foldable container, comprising:

• a fixed hinge;
• a movable hinge pivotally connected to the fixed hinge between a horizontal position and a vertical position about a hinge pivot shaft with an axial direction parallel to a first horizontal direction;
• and
• a locking assembly pivotally connected to the fixed hinge about a locking pivot shaft with an axial direction parallel to the first horizontal direction to be able to rotate to a locked position,
• wherein the locking assembly comprises a bracket and a locking block, the bracket comprises a pair of side plates spaced apart along the first horizontal direction and disposed in the fixed hinge, the movable hinge is located between the pair of side plates, the locking block is provided with a locking shaft, an axial direction of the locking shaft is parallel to the first horizontal direction, and the locking shaft is set to movably pass between the pair of side plates;
• during a rotation of the movable hinge from the horizontal position to the vertical position, the locking assembly in the locked position can be pushed to rotate such that a part of the movable hinge rotated to the vertical position is located below the locking block, thereby enabling the locking block to block a rotation of the movable hinge from the vertical position to the horizontal position.
