Systems, devices, and methods rapidly locking ceiling fan blades to motor housings by vertical spring biased plungers. An embodiment has dual posts, each with springs to bias the plunger down into a vertical slot in the blade locks the blade to the motor. A pull latch attached to the posts pulled upward disengages the plunger so the blade is removed. Another embodiment uses a torsion spring pushing the plunger into the slot in the blade locking the blade to the motor. A latch pulled upward disengages the plunger so the blade is removed. Another embodiment adds a magnet which attracts the metal plunger downward as a supplement to the spring. Another embodiment uses a single post with single spring pushing the plunger into the blade slot. and another embodiment uses a torsion spring with the single post pushing downward, with optional magnet to supplement the torsion spring.
