Abstract
A wood-based panel includes a wood-based board and a décor layer. The décor layer optionally has a décor directly printed onto the wood-based board or the décor layer optionally includes a printed paper sheet. The wood-based board at least has a layer including wood chips and/or wood fibers bonded by a thermoplastic halogen-free binder; and optionally by a thermoset binder.

A wood-based panel, wherein the wood-based panel comprises a wood-based board and a décor layer,
- wherein the wood-based board comprises an A-layer, wherein the A-layer has a thickness less than 35 % of the wood-based panel;
- wherein the A-layer comprises wood chips bonded by a thermoset resin;
- wherein the wood-based panel has a density of at least 750 kg/m3 and
- wherein the thermoset resin provides at least 4 percent by weight of the A-layer.
